Manchester City midfielder David Silva is taking great pleasure out of playing Pep Guardiola's system.

The Spaniard arrived at the Etihad last summer, and the diminutive playmaker has since thrived under Guardiola's famed 'tiki-taka' style of play.

Technically proficient in almost every aspect of the game, Silva believes Guardiola has enabled him to maximise his talent to help benefit the team.

"Guardiola has helped me so when I receive the ball I have space. The way Guardiola plays suits me, it enables me to get into space in attacking positions," Silva told the Daily Mail.

"The thing he does is he gets me to concentrate on seeing where I can put the ball.

"There is always some space to put it into. I am always trying to find those areas, it makes us attack better."
