Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola can see PSG star Leo Messi returning to Barcelona.

Guardiola was asked about claims of Messi agreeing a world record move to Al Hilal.

"I know that Joan (Laporta, Barcelona president) is going to try and Leo too and that he and his family are going to receive the love that all of us who are Barcelona fans have for all the gratitude and respect that he has shown for the club," said Guardiola, who also made it clear that "he will do the impossible to return to Barcelona".

Former Barca coach Guardiola also made it clear that Messi is the "greatest player of all time.".

"In the last decades Barcelona was a boom and that would not have been possible without him. And I'm not talking about numbers, but about incidence in the game, beauty, aesthetics, effectiveness, everything," he said in an interview with ESPN.
