Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola says Saul Niguez simply cannot be compared with Lionel Messi just yet.
The Atletico Madrid young gun produced a moment of magic when dazzling his Bayern opponents before stroking home beyond Manuel Neuer in the 11th minute of his side's 1-0 Champions League semi-final first leg victory on Wednesday night.
After the match, Guardiola was asked if the 21-year-old had similarities to his former Barcelona colleague Messi and although the Spaniard felt that was a little too premature, he did speak positively about the future for the Atleti ace.
"I admire Saul's quality a lot, but you cannot really compare him with Messi," said Guardiola.
"I have seen him before, he is a great player.
"Spanish football has another great talent."
