Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann knows he's close to breaking the club's goalscoring record.

Griezmann currently sits on 170 goals, with Luis Aragones holding the record with 173.

The Frenchman said: "It's been a challenge since I came back and, of course, you're scoring goals and it's getting closer, so it's a goal, an illusion, a dream. I'm going for it, keeping a cool head without going crazy when it comes to shooting or creating chances with calmness as always, the goals will come on their own.

"Always grateful for the love of the fans, whether on social networks, on the street or in the stadium. The truth is that we are enjoying it a lot, the atmosphere in the stadium gives us confidence when facing the games and I hope it continues like this.

"We will try to continue giving them the joy that they need for this environment."
