Gregg Wylde could make a shock Bolton Wanderers debut this weekend against Blackburn Rovers.

Bolton snapped up Wylde as a free agent after he was released from his Rangers contract in February.

The Bolton News says Owen Coyle is racing to get the Scotland Under-21 international into his squad for the vital Premier League game at home to Blackburn, which takes on added significance with Fabrice Muamba recovering 200 miles away in his hospital bed.

The official go-ahead has yet to be given by FIFA, who need to be convinced that he left Ibrox by mutual consent.
