Mason Greenwood has been seen training with a Manchester United teammate.

United preseason is underway, but Greenwood is still waiting to hear from the club about whether he will be allowed to return.

In the meantime, The Sun says Greenwood has been seen training with United teammate Anthony Elanga. The pair were all smiles after a training session with Irish starlet James Abankwah, 19, who plays for Italian side Udinese.

Elanga and Greenwood are friends after coming through the United academy together.

A source said: “He'll be playing football somewhere this coming season."
