Grant leaves Man Utd for McKenna's Ipswich Town

Lee Grant has left Manchester United for Kieran McKenna's Ipswich Town.

Grant will join Ipswich Town's backroom staff after leaving United this summer.

Grant, 39, has decided to retire and he'll join McKenna's backroom staff ahead of Ipswich's pre-season in June. McKenna spent three years at United but left the club in December to become Ipswich's first team manager after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked.

McKenna was joined by former United coach Martyn Pert at Ipswich and Grant is now set to become part of that backroom staff. Although Grant made over 500 appearances in his career, he made just two first-team starts during his time at United.
