West Ham United boss Avram Grant is adamant they can beat the drop as they go into the Christmas period propping up the table.
Traditionally, the team that is bottom during this time goes down.
"We can do it, of course," insisted Grant, after his team came from behind to draw at Blackburn Rovers. "As long as we show this spirit I am sure we can stay in this league. I am not interested in statistics and history."
