Newcastle United have put together a backup plan in case they miss out on West Bromwich Albion's Saido Berahino.
According to the Daily Mail, the Magpies are also eyeing Swansea City's Bafetimbi Gomis, Barcelona's Sandro Ramirez and Aston Villa's Scott Sinclair as alternatives for Berahino.
Newcastle are keen on the 22-year-old striker but Albion's decision to slap a £30million price tag on him has the Toon sweating.
As a contingency, Steve McClaren sees Frenchman Gomis as an option, although at 30 he may not suit, while Tottenham target Ramirez remains available and Sinclair, who is wanted by Swansea, is seeking a move away from bottom-placed Villa.
