Goldman Sachs dig deep for Roma

AS Roma are to be refinanced by Goldman Sachs to the tune of €175m, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The investment banking giant is acting as 'mandated lead arranger and bookrunner in a five-year loan agreement that is being mediated by the Milan branch of UniCredit.

The club have undergone a restructuring, establishing a new company branch where revenue streams, including TV rights, sponsorship and merchandising, will be directed in order to finance the loan.

The club insist that the loan has nothing to do with the Stadio della Roma project - a proposed €300m move to a new home in the Tor di Valle area of Rome.
