Newcastle Jets defender Adam Griffiths is on his way to Gold Coast United. The Gold Coast Bulletin says the Australia international has signed a two-year contract with the new A-League franchise.

Jets teammate Daniel Piorkowski is also understood to have agreed on a move to Skilled Park for next season.

"I can't confirm any signings of current A-league players because it's not fair to them," said coach Miron Bleiberg.

"I want to let them concentrate on their own seasons and not have any undue pressure placed on them. If I want them to succeed and justify my signing them, why do I have to make them look bad (by revealing their identities)."
