Gold Coast United have secured a major sponsor in portable refrigeration manufacturer WAECO.
The company, a part of the worldwide Dometic Group, have signed a two-year deal with the new A-League club and their logo will feature on both the senior team and youth team uniforms.
"We are delighted to have WAECO on board with us. They have a history of commitment to football and are a strong international brand with local roots here on the Gold Coast," said Gold Coast CEO Clive Mensink.
"We are looking forward to a long, mutually beneficial relationship with WAECO and congratulate them on their vision in recognising the opportunities presented by football, especially in these tough economic times.
"Football's profile will continue to grow in Australia, particularly with the Socceroos' qualification for the 2010 FIFA World Cup just around the corner. Gold Coast United will be part of that growth and WAECO's confidence in the bright future of the code is to be admired.
"WAECO is a great brand fit for us given the outdoor lifestyle enjoyed by people in our region. Their products will also be of great benefit to the team when it comes to keeping everything cold on training days."
