Gold Coast United's Caravella to join Adelaide United

Gold Coast United midfielder Zenon Caravella has signed with Adelaide United and will join the club for the 2011/12 A-League season.

Gold Coast have confirmed that the 27-year old has signed a two-year deal with the Reds and will link up with his new club following the current campaign.

Caravella has been a major contributing factor as to why Gold Coast are sitting fourth on the table, performing consistently in the centre of the pitch in all of his 21 appearances this term.

The former FC Omniworld man said he will continue to all he can to push United towards the title and admitted it will be hard to leave the club but was excited about the next chapter in his career.

"I want to assure everyone that I will continue to give 100% to Gold Coast United until the end of the season. We're still in a great position and have every reason to push for success this year," he said.

"I'll be sad to leave and I am grateful to the club for everything they have done for me, but ultimately I have to make decisions that are good for my family."
