Gold Coast United to offer Caravella new deal

Gold Coast United are desperate to tie up in-form midfielder Zenon Caravella to a new deal.

The 26-year old is attracting plenty of attention from rival A-League clubs, particularly Adelaide United, but Gold Coast coach Miron Bleiberg has confirmed that the former FC Omniworld player's signature is a priority.

"The board has been meeting regularly and discussing who will be re-signed and Zenon is the first one. There will be plenty more to follow," he told the Gold Coast Bulletin.

Caravella's agent Lou Sticca added: "Miron knows the situation and talks are imminent. The bottom line is that United will always have the first option on Zenon because he's committed to the club and he is happy in the city.

"The ball is really in Gold Coast's court over where we go from here. There is certainly interest out there from other clubs but United have the inside running."
