Gold Coast United's injury crisis has eased slightly in the past few days with news that a number of key players are close to a return.
The most notable is captain and marquee midfielder Jason Culina who missed Wednesday night's disappointing 2-1 loss to North Queensland Fury with a knee problem.
United coach Miron Bleiberg said that the former PSV Eindhoven man was a good chance of being fit to take on the Melbourne Heart at Skilled Park on Sunday whilst a few others were working their way back into the line-up.
"Jason is 80 to 90 per cent (a chance of playing)," Bleiberg said.
"John Curtis is 80 per cent, Michael Thwaite is 50 per cent.
"So we'll get some back."
Goalkeeper Glen Moss, who injured his ankle in the November 21 win over Central Coast Mariners, will undergo a fitness test ahead of Sunday's Week 17 fixture.
