Gold Coast United are in talks with Mark Bosnich in regards to a short-term injury replacement contract. Following the loss of Jess Vanstrattan for at least a month (potentially two), the new A-League club are keen to bring in reinforcements and it seems Bosnich is their man.
It looks like Vanstrattan will need surgery on his ankle that he turned on earlier this week and coach Miron Bleiberg is keen to bring some back-up in for number two Scott Higgins.
Bosnich was used last season by the Central Coast Mariners in a similar role when Danny Vukovic was unavailable due to suspension.
It is believed that the deal would be a two-month spell for Bosnich, who is currently plying his trade with NSW State League team Sydney Olympic.
