Gold Coast hold Brisbane in four goal thriller

Brisbane Roar have been held 2-2 by Gold Coast United in a rain-drenched derby at Suncorp stadium.

United twice went ahead but the Roar responded on both occasions to maintain their unbeaten run that now extends to 18 games.

Gold Coast went ahead on 14 minutes through a Dino Djulbic header, but Brisbane drew leve after a clever move was finished off by Kiwi youngster Kosta Barbarouses on the half hour mark.

United were ahead again through Robson on 55 minutes, but the Roar equalised from the spot through Jean Carlos Solorzano on 66 minutes after John Curtis' foul inside the box.

Brisbane are now top of the A-League table by a clear 11 points, while Gold Coast stay fourth on 34 points.
