Borussia Monchengladbach are eying Chelsea winger Marko Marin.

The Sunday Mirror says the Germany international has yet to play a ­single minute of Premier League football since his £7million summer arrival from Werder Bremen.

The Bundesliga club's coach Lucien Favre now hopes to sign Marin, 23, on loan during the January transfer window.

"A player like Marin could be a good fit for us," Favre said. "We will wait and see what happens in the winter break.

"But we've got nine games to go until then, so I don't want to say more."
