Giroud won't rule out title tilt after Arsenal thump Liverpool

Olivier Giroud admits Arsenal's deliberate "high press" rattled Liverpool for today's 4-1 win. The Gunners thumped Liverpool at the Emirates.

Giroud said: "We wanted to start the game strongly. We knew that Liverpool like to start their games in a strong way. So we wanted to put them under pressure from the beginning of the game.

"We did well in pressing them really high and they lost a lot of possession at the back and we could've scored even more goals in the first-half.

"We were very pleased to back into the dressing room with a 3-0 (halftime lead)."

Giroud was coy on Arsenal's title hopes.

"We need to finish the season strongly. Take it game by game before we consider Chelsea and Manchester City.

"But, yes, we want to look forward and try to win every game... then we'll see what happens."
