Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has hinted at concerns over manager Arsene Wenger's pursuit of Real Madrid ace Karim Benzema.
Giroud admits he's in direct competition with Benzema for a starting place in France coach Didier Deschamps' team.
"We get on well, but it is true that we are in competition. At this point, it is right to assume that. Obviously I am a candidate for the position of centre-forward for the France team, this is normal. But I did not want to talk about it in the press because I respect very much Karim.
"I get along with him. I do not want tension or a bad atmosphere between us. For now, there is nothing like that. It is encouraging. I think the team of France needs us both."
