Olivier Giroud is ready to leave Chelsea at the end of this season.
Gazzetta dello Sport says representatives for Giroud met up with Roma's technical director Tiago Pinto on Friday over a potential summer move, according to reports.
The Chelsea striker is entering the final few months of his contract at Stamford Bridge and has been attracting interest from several Serie A clubs.
Giroud was left on the bench in Chelsea's humiliating 5-2 defeat by West Brom on Saturday. It means he has been an unused substitute in Chelsea's last four league games.
Giroud has failed to land a starting place under manager Thomas Tuchel, and also was on the fringes at Chelsea with Frank Lampard.
Due to his lack of game time, the 34-year-old is highly unlikely to renew his deal in London as his agent has began talks with clubs abroad.
