Olivier Giroud explained missing AC Milan's win against Cagliari.
The veteran striker sat out the game last night.
Giroud said, “The coach told me that I will rest today, I am very happy to be here with the squad to help my teammates, fire them up and be there to support them. We know there are a lot of games, the important thing is to have consistency in results, so these are three crucial points.
“In my first season here, we had a huge year in Serie A, in the second a strong Champions League run.
"This year we want to do both, so to get through the group stage and keep in contact with Inter at the top of the table. We have the quality and quantity to do it, we are letting nothing go."
