Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has defended his teammates smoking.

Giroud insists the controversy surrounding team-mates Jack Wilshere and Wojciech Szczesny is overblown.

Giroud said: "Everybody knows that lots of footballers smoke - there will be four or five in every team.

"Jack and Wojciech haven't shocked me at all. Rugby players smoke as well."
