Girona midfielder David Lopez launched a furious attack on referee Miguel Angel Ortiz Arias at halftime of victory over Almeria.
Girona won yesterday 5-2, having come from 2-0 down to lead at halftime 3-2.
As part of this season's presentation, Lopez gave an interview at halftime where he launched a furious attack on Arias.
"I respect everyone's work, but the bad manners and the arrogance... I think that all Primera Division players will agree. You can't work like that, it's very difficult," David López said, fuming.
"You try to focus on the game but it's difficult; he disrespects you, he insults you... In short, it's difficult to work like this. You have to try to forget and be for the game but the work gets complicated.
"All Primera Division players know Miguel Ángel but it is an issue that is more human than professional. We are working and you can always say one word with more tone than another but there is no need to insult or disrespect. We are all in the same boat."
