The girlfriend of sacked Sunderland winger Adam Johnson has left him as he continues to fight charges of sexual activity with a minor.

Stacey Flounders told Bradford Crown court she is no longer with the 28-year-old after she was asked if she saw a future between the pair.

"Not at the moment, no. We're just going to remain friends," Flounders said.

Flounders admitted to being shocked as Johnson was arrested in their home following the accusations from the 15-year-old girl Johnson allegedly engaged in sexual activity with.

"My head was all over the place. I didn't know what was going on," she said.

The trial continues.
