Former Bari and Torino goalkeeper Jean Francois Gillet is backing AC Milan's move for Divock Origi.
The striker is due in Milan this week for a medical as his contract with Liverpool expires this month.
Fellow Belgian Gillet told Tuttosport: "His time at Liverpool had now come to an end.
"He won everything, he was decisive in the games that matter. I think now he wants to play more. For the Reds he was a wild card, every time (Jurgen) Klopp bet on him, the boy responded.
"It wasn't easy, but now here's another challenge. He's still young, we are talking about a serious player, taking him on a free transfer is a bargain."
