Alexis Sanchez is the player to help guide Arsenal into a new era of success according to Gilberto Silva.
The Chilean joined the Gunners from Barcelona for £35million in the summer and has since scored 12 Premier League goals for a total of 18 in all competitions.
Former midfielder Gilberto admits he is a big fan of Sanchez and suggests he could be the kind of guy that Arsene Wenger bases his side around for the future.
"I'm quite impressed with Sanchez, he has settled really well at Arsenal and I am very happy to see a player like him at a club like Arsenal," Gilberto told the Daily Star.
"It was important for him and the team to start his time with the club well and I really like his style.
"Arsene and the club are very careful when they want to sign a player, they don't want to make a mistake.
"But I think they did the right thing with Sanchez and he is paying them back with his performances.
"I prefer to not make any comparisons because if you look back to a few years ago it is unfair to compare players.
"Every player has a different style; you can't really compare the likes of Dennis Bergkamp with other strikers, for example.
"Sanchez is doing well and I hope he continues like that because he can be a guy who can help Arsenal win titles, that is what the club wants."
