Alberto Gilardino says he's happy at Fiorentina and to work with coach Cesare Prandelli.

The Italy striker has been linked with Juventus, who he supported as a kid growing up.

Gilardino said: "I have a contract here and I want to respect it. The Coach's decisions must be respected. He makes his and I make mine."

When asked if he is Prandelli's teacher's pet, Gilardino said: "It's not true. It's another lie. It's undeniable that he has taught me everything on the pitch.

"Parma was a fundamental stage in my career. Prandelli made me grow on a tactical level. But believe me, there are many other players at Fiorentina who Prandelli respects."
