Ryan Giggs is set to meet with Louis van Gaal over a role on Manchester United's coaching staff. The Daily Star says Giggs is flying to a secret location with United chief executive Ed Woodward to meet the Dutchman in the hope of finalising the details of their new coaching relationship.
Van Gaal wants Giggs to become his No.2 at Old Trafford to help him rebuild the fallen giants.
Van Gaal has spent the last week working with his Holland squad in a training camp in Hoenderloo ahead of the World Cup in Brazil.
But the former Ajax, Bayern Munich and Barcelona boss has given them a 24-hour break and will use it to put the finishing touches to his new management team.
He wants to know if Giggs is prepared to accept a senior role within his coaching set-up, which could also see fellow Dutchman Rene Meulensteen make a return to the club.
The likes of Phil Neville, Chris Woods and Paul Scholes are all poised to leave United.
