Giggs confident Man Utd can bounce back from consecutive defeats

Ryan Giggs is confident Manchester United can bounce back to winning ways following consecutive defeats.

Those two words are not usually linked with the great club but it is what they have experienced in their past two outings as they dropped the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final to Bayern Munich and then fell behind Chelsea in the Premier League title race with a 2-1 loss at Old Trafford.

But Giggs is sure that the players will rally and get their season back on track, beginning tonight with the return leg against Bayern at home.

"Losing successive matches does not shake the belief of the players," he said.

"When you look around the dressing room and see the players around you, the belief has to be there because there is so much talent.

"We have been looking sharp in training over the last couple of days so the preparation has been good.

"As a professional you are disappointed when you have one bad result. When you have a couple it is even more disappointing.

"But you always have that next game to rectify that. Hopefully we can do it. I am sure we will."
