Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has pulled out of England's U21 squad.
The 19-year-old Arsenal midfielder has a foot injury and will also miss the friendly against Israel at Barnsley next Monday.
His withdrawal will fuel Ghana's hope that Frimpong may decide to do a U-turn and elect to play for them.
Ghana face Brazil at Fulham on Monday and Frimpong, who was born in Accra, could be invited to meet the senior squad.
