Getafe have welcomed a €5m windfall from Norwich City after their promotion to the Premier League.

The cash is due to a clause included in Emi Buendia's contract.

The Argentine moved from the LaLiga Santander team to the Canaries last season to become one of their most vital players in the 2018/19 campaign.

Buendia assisted the club's efforts to reach the top tier of English football and Getafe benefited from a promotion clause agreed in last year's deal between the two teams.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder spent the 2017/2018 season on loan at Cultural Leonesa, before moving to England on a permanent deal.
