Getafe president Torres remains keen on Bale; planning contract offer

Getafe president Angel Torres hasn't dropped his interest in Gareth Bale.

Torres has revealed the departing Real Madrid attacker has been offered to Getafe - though Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett disputed the claim.

Mundo Deportivo says Torres is convinced Bale and his family are happily settled in Madrid and would prefer to stay next season.

Indeed, Getafe chiefs have contacted Real Madrid for reports on the player and the response regarding his professionalism and behavior has been positive.

It's suggested Getafe would offer Bale a contract on a pay-for-play basis.
