Getafe coach Bordalas on staying up: My best season here

Getafe coach Jose Bordalas is delighted to have secured Primera safety.

Victory over Levante yesterday saw Getafe clear from the dropzone with one round of the season remaining.

Bordalas insists he is proud of his players.

"It is too early to do an analysis," he said. "It has been my best season in charge of Getafe, I give it a lot of credit.

"As a professional it was the most exciting for everything that has happened.

"Being the least successful team in the championship, we managed to score the points to save ourselves. You have to congratulate the boys."

Bordalas added: "Right now we are enjoying the triumph and the permanence. I am very happy here, this is like my home. The president has congratulated me just as I congratulated him. We have had many misfortunes this year. We have had a bad time and now we are happy."
