Getafe coach Bordalas hails victory over Cadiz: Why football is so beautiful

Getafe coach Jose Bordalas was delighted with their 1-0 win against Cadiz on Monday night.

Borja Mayoral struck the only goal of the night as Luis Milla made a playing return after halftime. On-loan Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood also impressed as he played 85 minutes. Djene Dakonam, meanwhile, saw red just before the break.

Bordalas said: "This team is a winner, I have been saying it for weeks. We have played very good games, victories had eluded us. When things were most difficult... we had to play with one less, we played a great game.

"The display. the ambition, the pressure, the help... has been well deserved since Cádiz hardly bothered us. Without many chances, the clearest have been Getafe.

"At half-time I told the players that despite being left with ten, I have had experiences of winning games with one less player, we had to be convinced. There were 45 minutes left and the stoppage time. We had not interpreted well the first half but we had a good chance of winning. That's why football is so beautiful. When this got most difficult, we played a spectacular second half."
