Former Houston Dynamo defender Geoff Cameron is thrilled to have completed his move to Stoke City.
Although it promises to be a hectic week for him ahead of the Premier League opener, he is just relieved that everything is moving in the right direction.
"It's been a long process since the Club first opened the negotiations for me, but we are there now and I am delighted to be a Stoke City player," he told the club's website.
"Everything was on hold for a time while we waited for the visa and international clearance and it was difficult when I joined up with the squad in the States.
"I wanted to train and play, but I couldn't really do much as the MLS wouldn't allow me to train or get those games under my belt until everything had gone through."
He added: "It's a huge weight off my shoulders that everything is cleared now and I can't wait for the season to start. To play in the Premier League has been a lifelong goal of mine and it's kind of just hit me that I am about to achieve that here at Stoke City."
