Genoa have informed Liverpool of their asking price for Mattia Perin.
The Sunday Express says reports in Italy suggest that Liverpool had approached Genoa about a January move for Perin as they look to provide competition for Simon Mignolet.
But it seems that the Anfield side's £16m valuation was not sufficient to tempt Genoa.
Indeed, it is suggested that the Rossoblu told Liverpool they had no interest in selling in January and that the Merseysiders would have to substantially up their bid in the summer to land the exciting prospect.
