Genoa want to bring Bordeaux midfielder Fernando Menegazzo back to Italy.

After losing Houssine Kharja to long-term injury, Genoa president Enrico Preziosi is ready to return to the market in January to boost his midfield.

Brazilian Menegazzo is in Preziosi's sights, with the former Catania and Siena midfielder having already expressed an ambition to return to Serie A football.

Now 28, Menegazzo's representatives have already fielded an approach from Genoa about a midseason move.
