Genoa president Preziosi thrilled with "important three points"

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi was delighted with their victory over Udinese last night - and also for striker Marco Borriello.

"These are three important points that we have won this evening, we have played a good game and our tifosi have been able to have fun," said Preziosi. "But I'm sure that they would have applauded us also if we had drawn or even lost.

"I'm delighted for Borriello. He's someone I always wanted to bring to Genoa - with the permission of (coach Gianpiero) Gasperini of course."

He added: "This is a very important win. Our first in 12 years in Serie A and I hope also the first of many this season.

"Our aim is to stay up this season - and also finish a point above Sampdoria!"
