Genoa president Enrico Preziosi admits he wants to buy a quality striker in January.

Catania's Maxi Lopez, AS Roma forward Marco Borriello and Inter Milan veteran Diego Milito have all been linked with Genoa.

Preziosi remarked: "Maxi Lopez is a talented player, as are Borriello and Milito. They are all champions, I hope to bring at least one of them to Genoa.

"At present, no-one has the advantage but in the next few days there may be action taken.

"Maxi is definitely an interesting player but we have not yet entered negotiations. For Milito the doors are always open, he represents a lot for us."
