Genoa president Preziosi believes Serie A will resume

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi believes Serie A will eventually resume.

Serie A was the first of the major European leagues to shut down due to the coronavirus outbreak.

“We knew it was possible to postpone Euro 2020 and it was the right decision," Preziosi told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“I don't know how much this postponement will cost, but it's necessary so that we can conclude the domestic leagues and European club competitions.

“It's frankly difficult to make predictions right now, because we have to hope the virus doesn't spread even more. I think the Government lockdown decree will be extended past Easter.

“The Lega Serie A and FIGC both agree on the date of May 9, coronavirus permitting. Players need to resume training first to get back into shape, so need a couple of weeks."
