Genoa president Enrico Preziosi admits he's interested in Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli.

Preziosi is willing to compete with Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero for Balotelli this summer.

"It's too early to talk about the market," said Preziosi.

"Balotelli to Genoa? Never say never.

"But we can't make an offer that is competitive with bigger clubs due to wage demands."
