Genoa remain keen on Bordeaux midfielder Fernando Menegazzo.
The Brazilian has been a target for Genoa president Enrico Preziosi since the summer and is keen on a return to Italy. The stumbling block, however, is Menegazzo's asking price.
In August, Menegazzo was available for €5 million, but that price has since doubled ahead of the winter market, particularly with Bordeaux doing so well in Europe.
