Newcastle United wing-back Achraf Lazaar is closer to a return to January.

Lazaar spent last season on-loan at Benevento.

And TMW says Genoa and Frosinone are now in contact about bringing Lazaar back to Serie A next month.

Both Serie A clubs would seek to take the 26 year-old on-loan.

Lazaar has been frozen out by Toon boss Rafa Benitez this season as he has been encouraged to find himself a new club.
