Genoa coach Alberto Malesani is demanding new signings for the January market.< p> Malesani has avoided the axe after victory over Siena.

"We made mistakes in building the forward momentum, but we certainly got it right when it came to finishing," smiled Malesani.

"The club needs to step in and make changes in January on the transfer market to fix those issues we have already discussed. We will make some signings that can help us out.

"Right now we have difficulties with injury problems, for example Emiliano Moretti who was running a temperature and Ze Eduardo who hasn't really played for five months. It's only natural that when there are many changes, things can not settle down for a while."
