Gateshead have snapped up Sunderland goalkeeper Joel Dixon.

Dixon has joined Gateshead on loan until the end of the season.

Gateshead are currently scrapping for a place in the Vanarama Conference play-offs.

Dixon arrives after the injury to their goalkeeper Adam Bartlett in Saturday's defeat at Dover Athletic.
