Gateshead boss Ian Bogie is eyeing several Newcastle United youngsters for loans.
Last season the Gateshead manager took defender James Tavernier, who has been on loan at Carlisle United in League One, and Faroe Isles international Joan Edmundsson to the International Stadium.
Bogie told the Evening Chronicle: "The transfer window has closed but you are eligible to get loan players in, you can't forget that. You are hoping to bring players in on a loan deal depending on what the injury situation is at the club.
"We have a good rapport with Newcastle and Sunderland and the fans have seen that. They have sent players here before.
"We had James Tavernier and Joan Edmundsson and they know they get treated well and looked after.
"They know they will play football in the right way. It can benefit the young lads."
