Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini was delighted with their 3-1 win at AC Milan.

Milan-own M'Baye Niang was among the goalscorers in the Genoa victory.

"I am very happy, because aside from Milan's obvious difficulties, I'd like the media to highlight how good the Genoa performance was," said Gasperini.

"We were sharp and had quality, which wasn't easy against a Milan side that had been in a training retreat to prepare for this game.

"Together we are reaching a key moment of the campaign with great belief, almost free from worrying about the table. Tonight we got everything right and everyone gave a strong response.

"If we continue to play like this, we can cultivate that European dream. We are there and we'll give it our best shot."
