AS Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman made a winning return in victory over Torino yesterday.

Strootman made his comeback eight months after a serious knee ligament injury ruled him out of the World Cup.

Roma boss Rudi Garcia said: "Kevin became a player again tonight, that was the most important thing. He's not 100 per cent, but the fact he's here at all gives us joy. He got to play about 10 minutes and enjoyed them."
