Garcia hails Ljajic influence on Roma triumph

AS Roma boss Rudi Garcia was delighted with Adem Ljajic for victory over Atalanta.

The Giallorossi went behind after just 57 seconds in Bergamo, but fought back for a 2-1 victory with Ljajic and Radja Nainggolan.

"I have been saying for 18 months that Ljajic is extremely talented. We can rotate the strikers and give everyone playing time," Garcia told Sky Sport Italia.

"It was important to win, especially after going a goal down so quickly. We showed character, but perhaps gave away the ball more tonight than throughout the rest of the season.

"The win was important because this is going to be a difficult arena for anyone to come away with. We are satisfied.

"Manuel Iturbe had an injury and needs to be 100 per cent fit to play his style. He needs to improve how he plays with his back to goal, but the important thing is that he gives his all for the team. When he has more energy, he'll make more of his pace."
